In June, we worked with a refugee community in Ulsteinvik off Norway's Western Coast, about five hours drive from Bergen. Local yoga studio Yogano graciously offered us their beautiful space for the training.

The community in Ulsteinvik is mixed-ethnicity and comprises individuals from countries Syria, Iraq, Iran and Eritrea. This was our first time working with such a diverse group, which initially included 4 men and 3 women from Syria, Iran, and Eritrea. The only language they have in common is Norwegian due to government programs to teach the language as part of integration efforts. So, for the first time, training was offered in a third language in an effort to bring the diverse community together.
